I understand what you mean, Steve.  While it is nice to be able to figure 
out the title and artist of a given song, that is only if you are familiar 
with the music being presented.  If you're not, that might be much harder to 
do.  One of the digital music services used to offer a number to call to 
enquire as to what song was playing, but that service has been long since 
discontinued.
