Hi All, I have for sale a 40minute parrot Voicemate, bought used in 2006,
which I'm sure was sold to me in good faith, and indeed worked flaulessly
when received. However, over the past several months, less and less of the
keys will either do or say anything, and now it will only ocasionally only
record part of a memo and that's all. none of the keys will evoke any
speech, and only sometimes will the push to talk button result in any
recording, and then only a very short message.
I've done all the resetting described on the Parrot forum in answer to both
mine and others' questions, tried several sets of newly charged, nearly new
NIMH battories, all to no avail. I called Clear Speech, and though very
helpful and accommodating, the $125 standard fee allowing them to do
anything, even though they'd include a complete reworking and updating of
the unit, just isn't in my budget.
As mentioned earlier, I'm completely convinced that the unit was sold
to me in Good Faith, and I've been around long enough to know that with any
kind of electronics, "stuff just plain sometimes happens, for no apparent
reason."
Having another parrot, bought new for me several years ago, I'd bought the
one in question here, in hopes of using it for ham radio logging purposes
when operating in mobile and portable situations, what with the date and
time stamp on all memos, etc, it'd have been a wonderful tool, but alas, it
seems not to be. So what to do?
I believe the unit is refurbishable, and I'd like $25, which is what I have
in it, for the unit, shipped by USPS Priority mail to any US Address, and
or, I would entertain possible swap offers.
Email me and we can proceed from there, I can and do use paypal. Thanks,
