Wow, ok, I'm looking up how to set offsets now.. Stupid question, where is
the plus and minus split again on 440? I seem to remember the offset is
5mhz, is it always positive, or is there a split like on 2m? Hmm, I probably
should go find an accessible version of the band plans people use
somewhere... I have no idea why I didn't think of this offset thing before,
I guess because since it said it had automatic offset, I just took it for
granted it would be working for both bands.

That is what I would think also.  Why is it that 2-meters and 220 have the
offsets set, but 440 does not?  There is a comon offset for all those
bands for repeaters, and some choose not to followthe offsets for whatever
reason.
