As concerns the software/searchable bibles,  has anyone tried Theophilos?

In addition, you can get a lot of free module plug-ins for all sorts of 
Bibles.  I believe if you check the below link, you may see one:
http://www.meetingpoint.org/theophilos/.

If the Bible version you want is not free, then at most you pay about $15 or 
so for the paid module.  This isn't too large a fee for a college course.

Yes, I bet your right about the Bible being easier to use in a searchable
format. Do you know if there is a software based bible that works with
screen readers?
