Hi ANDers, welcome to the list. I also enjoy listening to shortwave and my
scanners. For shortwave what do you have? I have the Grundig Sat800 in the
shack and for portable I have the Sony 7600GR and for really portable radio
I have the Kaito (Degen) 1102. I also have a Sangean 818, but it doesn't get
used much because the keypad is so spread out I find it difficult to use.

For public service listening I have the Radio Shack Pro-96 digital scanner.
Most of the fire and police in my area are on P25 digital trunked systems.
I have the Sony ICF-SC1PC analogue scanner for mostly air traffic listening.
BTW, I live in Falls Church Virginia, near Washington DC, so there's always
something to listen to.
