Hi
Please keep the list posted with your findings, I'm interested in
purchasing the IC-7000 as well, and I do believe that there's a few
listers out there, that also want to do so.

Subject: ICOM IC-7000!!!
Hi Everyone;
Well, I took the plunge and purchased an ICOM IC-7000 yesterday.
It does have a lot of menus however, I'm going to make a BRAILLE sheet
of
the menus and, depending what the options do in a particular menu, I
should
be able to figure out where I am.
The speech has a little more life to it with a higher pitch for the
voice.
It reads the usual s-meter readings, frequency and, the mode such as AM
or
FM or CW or RTTY.
I'll let all of you know how I make out.
If anyone has this radio or, if you have any ideas that I could be more
productive with, please let me know.
Also, I can read the face of the radio reasonably well with my OPTACON.
