Rich, wires like company.  That is plenty of space for a dipole, feed 
it with ballenced feed line, a balon coil, and a tuner.
It will easily work on 80 through ten meters, and 160 as well if you 
are in luck.
The antena won't cost you more than thirty bucks. With a used tuner 
maybe $60 at the highest.  Handy hams has a tuning aid, or the DLG 
TW1 is absolutely worth the money.
You will be surprised at how well you can get out.
I work Europeans from here on 20 meter phone with the TS480.
