Hi.

Actually, you might find the 5th harmonic of 80 meters falls close enough 
to the 17 meter band to get an 80 meter dipole to load up reasonably well 
on 17 meters, and it will probably even radiate decently.  It's worth a 
shot.  The 80/40 dipoles at my sister's house were within range of the 
AT180 auto tuner on her Icom IC706 Mk II, so you might be surprised.  I 
worked VKs on that antenna on 17 so it was clearly doing something.
