what if you go to the windows update page? that part might be out of date, 
I've had that problem with my laptop at 1 point where windows update was out 
of date and it wouldn't work until I fixed that and it didn't tell me. I 
don't use it every day and even less then it has an internet connection so I 
never thought of it until 1 day when I did have a connection and knew there 
was an update it should have had.
