Hi.
If you don't have the Windows XP CD, you may not be able to fix any broken
files that SFC finds.
My suspicion is that your registry fixer was in fact a trojan horse. If
you have somebody who is good with fixing registry problems and removing
malware, it might be time to consider seeking assistance.
