John, I have thought of that, but I have a question.
Let's say I copy my windows XP home disk to a folder called
c:\windows\cabs\ which is how it used to be done.
Now how do I tell sfc to look there rather than on the windows cd for
the good files?
It used to be done in the old days, but I can't figure out how to do
it under XP.
