I look outside the window
and nestle in its nest of straws
perch high up in the Baobab tree
its head tuck inside its warm feathers
the bird weathers out the inclement
and neither the pouring rain nor scorching sun
the gasping wind or freezing cold
dampen its temperament
with not even a care where the next grain will come.
When I despair
I look outside the window
for the bird
perch high up in the Baobab tree
its head tuck inside its warm feathers
with not even a care where the next grain will come.
Rene
