/? Does anyone know anything about celiac neuropathy? I have had celiac
disease for at least 20 years, but was only diagnosed 3 years ago. I
keep very strictly to a GF diet, but occasionally there are mistakes.
I have always tended to cold and tingly feet - right back to the time I
first showed digestive symptoms. I always thought that was my low
thyroid. But for the last 3 months, they have been really painful,
especially at night. My GP said he would have thought it diabetic
neuropathy, but there's no sugar in my urine.
I googled neuropathy + celiac and found it listed as a celiac condition.
Does anyone know how serious this is and what my doctor should be doing.
I feel when I go back he won't know what to do. (His partner said to me
recently that bone loss couldn't be celiac related, so I feel I should
be as well informed as possible. Any help gratefully received.
