Ok here's the deal guys. After we got the new replacement parts my son (it's
his machine after all) put the new stuff together because I was working some
extra hours and in his haste he couldn't wait. <groan> So after some
serious head scratching and a few calls around the country to ANYBODY I knew
that might help I decided to take it apart and redo it one more time. Well I
didn't get very far when I noticed that a wire to the mb was not connected.
It is hidden under the oversized cpu fan so it's very easy to over look. I
hooked that up..reinstalled all the parts and bingo..it works!!! I feel
kinda dumb now and hope I didn't waste anybodys time on here because you
guys are the best. For what it's worth the first parts did not work and I
KNOW that all the wires were in place.
So thanks again to all of you who took the time to reply to my posts. That's
what makes this list the best on the internet.
