Just in case there might be some misunderstanding with regard to this, MS 
will stop providing Windows XP for purchase via retail and OEM channels in 
June of this year; however, they will continue to provide "extended support" 
for Windows XP into 2014.  This typically means that they will continue to 
provide security patches, as needed.  I would think that you will be able to 
continue to use Windows update, as usual, during this period of time.

MS intends to continue to make Windows Home available to manufacturers of 
small laptops beyond June of 2008, into 2010, which suggests that support 
for this OS may even continue longer than the current guidelines indicate.

Subject: Sp1 & 2 downloads

With Windows XP being no longer supported soon, I would like to find the
service packs 1 & 2 for xp to keep for the future.
