I have always been amazed at your insistence to having the control
head connected to the radio in a base station setting, is it just
asthetic prefference? Is their a practical reason that I haven't thought of?

It took me five minutes to fall in love with the freedom of position
both radio and control head to get me to fall in love with the
idea. Maybe I am missing something practical?
