Hi Steve, in looking at the proset, I see now that you can either get the
proset 4, or proset 5. Is that different than what you have there?

Hi Dan,

I think you are asking about a head set with mic and some replies are
referring to the Gold Line desk mic.

I have a Proset Plus and really like it. This comes with the HC4 and HC5
and a small switch to switch between. The head phones are very comfortable
and I wear them for long periods with no problem.

I think the audio from the full range element in the gold line desk mic is
better than that from the headset. This is based on on air tests. But the
audio from the Proset is still quite good and much better to work a contest
with a headset.

Heil has a lot of models, so do your homework first. The Proset (and maybe

others) require a mic adapter to plug into the rig. The end of the mic
cord is a 1/8 mono plug, so you have to buy a 15$ adapter to plug into your
particular rig. Perhaps not all Heil headsets need this, but again, do
your homework.
