I may have shared this story before.

Sister Tennison and her husband had driven a few miles to the
next town to do some hospital visiting. Their little church had
grown so quickly, they were in desperate need of some property on
which they could build a church.

After their hospital visits, Brother Tennison asked his wife
if she wanted to eat out before returning home so they did. They
stopped in the small town restaurant. As a woman was taking their
order, a man walked up and said, "Brother Tennison, I have a word
from the Lord for you." Brother Tennison said, "Go ahead, sir."
The man told him that he was to stay on course and that God would
lead the way and not to worry about finding the property. Pastor
Tennison thanked the man and the stranger walked out the door.
The lady taking their order said, "Did you folks know that man?"
Brother Tennison said, "I've never seen him before." Mrs.
Tennison jumped up and ran out the door. She caught the man just
as he was starting to climb into his car. She thanked him for
obeying the Lord and giving her husband that word. She asked him
for his name. He said, "My name is not important. What the Lord
has said is." Sister Tennison said, "You might be an angel." He
smiled and said, "I could be," and turned and got into his car and
drove away. Mrs. Tennison wrote down his license plate number.

The next Sunday, she told this story to a police officer who
was a member of their church. She gave him the license plate
number and he said he would check it. When he came back for the
next service, he came up to sister Tennison crying and said,
"Sister Tennison, I not only checked our county but I checked the
whole state of Kentucky on the database. There is no such license
issued in this state." By the way, the license plate number was
clearly noted on the license plate as a residence of that same
county yet it did not exist.

Phil.
