The deutercanonicle books is their proper name but I said the apocrypha
because I couldn't spell deutercanonicle. The only advantage to the set I
have is the size. It comes in a unit which is as small as a cassette. You
can carry it around with head phones and listen on the bus, or wherever you
are. The batteries last forever almost, and you can search and bookmark
your favorite passages easily. The translation is not the best in my
opinion. I was turned off by hearing the "Ark of the covenant" called the
"sacred chest". Though that is what it is. I don't exactly know who does
these translations. The older translations are more beautiful to be sure.
I was so happy when I got my Bible currier for that reason, though as you
mentioned these resources if you had the book currier which comes from the
American Printing house you would have access to the same features, as the
devices are basically the same. The book currier costs more, of course, but
you can download any books you choose not only sacred scriptures and have
the same portability. I didn't know the deutercanonicle books were
available through these other facilities. Don't ever be afraid to speak up
and say whatever you think. After all, what are the others on the list
going to do, crucify you? Ha
Ha. That was a joke son. They are truly a loving group.
