Zone Alarm Pro keeps a log of all internet activity under its "Logs and
Alerts". It is quite informative and if you click on "more info" it will
analyse each activity and rate it for security.

Process Monitor, freeware from www.sysninternals.com logs eavery activity.
It will give you more info about your computer activity than you'll ever
want to know, though it takes some expertise and patience to understand its
readings.

Can be rather daunting. With my computer at virtual idle, it normally shows
around 4000 "events" a second going on! That's terrifying, but probably
fairly normal. It should pick up the info you want, if you carefully note
the exact time.
