A colleague has an HP laptop with malfunctioning USB ports in windows
but not linux. She has full access to usb drives in linux but not
windows. I tried to re-install windows XP pro but that could not
eliminate the problem. What could be the solution to this problem? When
a flash disk is inserted it is not dislated in the explorer but the
small icon appears in the tray.
