Are you trying to dual-boot Linspire? Do you get a Boot option that
includes Linspire?
It sounds as though you created a 6.83 GB partition and installed ME on
it, and Linspire is occupying the rest.
In the Run box, type Command
At the DOS prompt, Type Fdisk and select Option 4 (Display Partition
Information) and let us know what partitions are shown.
You may have to reinstall, depending on what you want. If you want the
additional space for ME, you could just partition it as FAT32 and use
the space for data.
Linspire has gotten praise from a lot of people (I've never used it) and
you may want to investigate it before you revert to ME, which hasn't
gotten praise from anyone.
