Rabies is 100% fatal without treatment. Those who have survived have 
received the vaccine BEFORE the onset of symptoms. There are only 5 reliably 
reported cases in which a patient survived having received the vaccine after 
the onset of symptoms, and only one 1 case in which a victim survived with 
treatment after the onset of symptoms, but without the vaccine. However, 
what they did with that 1 victim was extreme, and was at the risk of severe 
side-effects. (They had to induce a coma.)
