I guess you are able to connect to Internet directly connected to Modem.
Then you remove ethernet wire from PC to WAN of router then connect PC NIC to 1 of the 4 outputs on the router.
Then you dial into the router through the IE browser address bar:
192.168.2.1 <ENTER> or something similar
Once in the router you can manually setup things.
The manufacturer of the router should give you free technical support if router was purchased within the last 52 weeks. So give them a call.
