Ok, so I'm a bit red-faced.  I followed your advice and looked for APM 
in the control panel and sure enough, it's there.  In some of the other 
computers I've worked on, APM is selected in the setup menu so I didn't 
think to look in the control panel.  Works fine now. Thanks!
