Rutabagas, along with most of our edible greens, turnips, cabbages,
are Brassicaceae.

Yams are Dioscoraceae

Potatoes and sweet potatoes are Solanaceae, and share the rather
poisonous characteristics of the family, which includes tomatos,
eggplants, green peppers and chilis as well.
