Brad,
I'm having that checked this week along with everything
else. We were at Sam's today, so I was doing a lot of walking and I
took my blood pressure twice and it was in the normal range, both
times. The second time it was 124 over 85, so that isn't bad. Every
time that my blood pressure was checked for the past three weeks it
wasn't over 140, which is right on the cusp and was usually in the
low 130 over 70 or 80 something range, but when I went in for my
final exam on Friday, in which I actually saw the doctor, it was 158
over 98 in my left arm and only ten points lower in my right arm. I
was definitely stressed about this visit. I've never had white coat
syndrome, but I suppose now is as good a time as any to develop that
too. GRIN!
The doctor suggested that I get more exercise, but I already
do calisthenics and either walk three miles a day or try to get in
20 minutes on the eliptical. Admittedly, I'd rather walk. I'd
actually prefer to swim, but who can afford a membership at the Y?
Oh well, now everybody knows about my internal
workings. Interesting, isn't it? GRIN! Now featuring, everything
you wanted to know about Kathy, but were afraid to ask. I want to
beat this thing and I'm determined.
Kathy
