Thanks all for the prayers and encouragement. Someone asked the title. The
title is, "I'm so miserable since you left its almost like you're still
here" hahahahhahahaha just kidding. Actually it isn't a Christian tune,
and it isn't an offensive secular tune. It's a light hearted Texas swing
type country tune entitled "I'll Never Leave Texas". Which proves I'm a
big fat liar 'cause I did leave Texas hahahaha. but it was my co-writer's
song to start with so we went with it. For the record, and I suppose some
may disagree. My writing focus isn't for flat out Christian music, praise
and worship music, or gospel music. My goal is to swim around in the
secular market with biblical principles and values pointing folks that
way. Either that or neutral type songs as this as I learn to craft. Just
thought I'd put that out there because I wouldn't want anyone to feel
they've been had by praying for anything with my music in the future and
then find out... What? He isn't using his gift for CCM or gospel music?
I've been had by a harratick. I've never been the type to be able to
choke folks with the word, and I can't get myself to put a melody to
Christianese cliche phrases and call it a song. There's only so many ways
to float those phrases to music and my goal is to use the gift I've been
given to point folks towards the word and open up a chance for dialog
through my tunes hopefully through live venues sometime this coming year.
So no, this tune doesn't have mention of Jesus, redeemer, God, Christ or
any of that. It does have the word beer in it however and also reference
to "honies who'd kiss me". gasp! lol. anyway just an F Y I for future.
Again thanks.
