Fred I wouldn't get the Kennwood tl922 since the 2000 has full break in capability and if the amp doesn't the radio won't operate in that mode.  If you get an amp make sure it has full break in capability so you can use it along with the transceiver.  You really don't need the full 2kw amp if you have good antennas. 73- pat kk3f
