Hi Colin,
Yeah, the Basic seems a bit like our General (more or less), from
what I can gather from skimming the CNIB study manual thingy. I
definitely saw some rules differences, most of which seem to be less
stringent than ours (ID every 30 minutes, no mode-specific subbands,
license classes defined by power limitations rather than frequency
bands come immediately to mind as significant differences). I'm
definitely going to have a look through the question pool before I
take the test, just so I have an idea, since as I say, I haven't
looked at the technical stuff in about 13 years at least. If they ask
me about resistor color codes, or what a pattern on a noscilloscope
mean, I'm sunk for sure!
