Hi Bret,

Appreciate your suggestion.  One reason I like or liked the dx.qsl.net is that they provided  the latest updates from WWV which I found to be quite useful.  

The reason I asked about the site being gone rather than just down is due to the "site not found" message.  If it's down, quite often you get the message 
"waiting for reply" and the browser just sits there.  

Oh well, we'll see.
