Echolink is not the real thing for sure. But I will tell you that echolink
is the best repeater linking tool that has been around in many years. As we
all know repeaters have there place and when you can get a link between
towns that are 100 miles a part it is great.

Hi;
Now I have seen everything. I guess I'm showing my age. Make believe ham
radio for only $32.00?
I suppose the no antenna required could have some appeal but why bother
pretend radio. If one wants a chat room go find one. Who knows, in 50
years folks might think that this is what ham radio was like back in the
"good old days".
I didn't have as much of a issue with echo link in that it was free but real
live ham radio it wasn't. It did serve a limited purpose but I don't think
it tried to pass its self off as something as much fun as the real thing.
