No, this is South Africa. No supply received.  We work with 220 V.  I
enquired about a power supply from the retailer, but no go.  I believe
I'll by a local 12 V Supply.  Do you perhaps know how many amps it
needs?

In the box you got a twelve volt supply, unless they don't send those 
over seas, because you don't use 110 volts out of the wall socket.
