Lou:
I have a s g c 232 which I have now owned for about 6 years.

It really works very well. The range was originally
developed for maritime mobile work so are water proof. I
used one to tune a quarter wave 40 m vertical for use on all
ham bands at my alternate location at the coast.
They are really only designed for use with verticals but by
attaching a patch lead you can use them for doublets etc.
You never know what setting they are using as they show no
indication of what is happening within the box.

They are a bit lossy however, but I guess this would be the
case with any form of A T U of this sort.

Subject: Anybody Had Any Experience With the SGC Auto
Tuners?

Hi.

I know that the SGC tuners are pricey. My question is "Does
anyone have any experience with them good or bad?"
Sometimes pricey is worth it if
something does an exceptionally good job. Right now, I am
using the MFJ
993, and my frustration with it is that it doesn't seem to
tune the same way twice. It is ok, but I'm wondering if SGC
does anything differently that would make their tuners worth
trying. Any thoughts?
