Hello.
I know there are some blind hams out there who are successfully running echo
link nodes and I would like to know if there are any blind hams running i r
l p nodes as well?
I r l p runs on linux and this I know could pose an access problem for the
computer users trying to set up an i r l p node.
As far as I know the trimmed down version of linux that one recieves when
setting up an i r l p node does not have any speech and so how does one get
around this problem?
I know at one time in a discussion with an i r l p node sysop, I found out
that his linux computer did not have a screen or keyboard connected and that
he was using a termenal type program on an xp machine to remotely access his
linux computer to make sound card adjustments and change other settings on
the linux machine.
I wondered right then if those windows programs were accessable to screen
readers.
basically if any one here is running an i r l p node I want to know how you
do it as a blind sysop.
At some future date I may be intrested in doing this.
I know Echolink is a little easyer to deal with but I like a little bit of a
chalange.
