Hi Phil,
You might try your local telephone store.  I got mine in Connecticut.  When
the phone rings, it gives you a ten digit number.  If it is a number you
want, you can record a name for it.  If you don't want it, you can delete
it.  Mine isn't a bit screwy, I can't record or delete any more.  If you
have call waiting, it will announce the number with no ring.  I hope this
helps.
