Remembber, there just isn't room in an ht for the filtering.  Also, even 
many newer rigs with wide or broad band receivers are kind of wide open. 
My old icom 2410 was better in that regard than my tmv-7.  We really get 
hammered here in Vegas.  I tried using my icom t-90 mobile once, and it 
was totally useless when hooked to the mobile antenna.  My f6, on the 
other hand, seems to do just fine.
