I still have my old Yaesu ft-470, which I have had since 1993. It's not as
affective as it used to be in that it doesn't seem to be able to access
repeaters. Currently, I have a Kenwood Tm-g707, which I really like. In
fact, it even has a speech chip in it so I can hear what frequency I am on.
If I were ever to get a new HT, I think I would pick either Icom or Kenwood.
Thanks again.
Eric
