Howard, instead of using auto-cue, why don't you find the spot manually
where you want to have the split occur, then place a finish marker there.
Save the first file as something different; then save the remainder as part
2?
That auto-cue feature is really intended for splitting tracks, where there
is really and truly a decent silent spot.
