Gery, Lou, and anyone else interested:
The Transmit button is a small flat switch just to the right of the
Power button. When the switch is up, the radio is in Transmit. When
it's down, it's in Receive. You can prevent the radio from
transmitting by pressing the bottom lefthand button in the double row
of four buttons to the right of the Transmit switch. This button
toggles the radio between ham bands only and general coverage. When
you're in general coverage, transmit is disabled.
