Well, I got the license.  I'm dying to get on the air and (I read to try
to figure out how to put the necessary tone in for the repeater and you
have to see the display to know which tone is selected.  From what I
read, there is no way to manually inter this using the microphone.  What
a bummer.  I guess I need to learn patience.  I have to wait until I get
a hard copy of my license to use echolink too.  Oh well maybe tomorrow.
Just have to learn how to wait, something I was never good at.
