Hi Ken,
As far as I know, no one in my area has gone to multichannel HD broadcasting 
yet, but the system has multichannel capability plus text messaging too.

Bob, are there any stations in your area that broadcast HD-2?  If so, is the
programming any better than what you can get from analogue.  I guess the
sound quality of HD-2 would not be very good either as the bandwidth has to
be shared with hd-1.  I think hd-2 would be great for reading services for
the blind and other talk formats like OTR.
