Hi,

You can get more info on HD-radio at
www.hd-radio.com/index.php
HD-radio is actually digital AM and FM broadcasting. In the US system, the
digital signal is sent along with the conventional AM/FM signal, but the
digital signal is really excellent audio. AM digital sounds like present
day FM stereo and digital FM sounds like your listening to a cd. I have the
Boston Acoustics Receptor radio and I would not recommend it because
everything is a scrolling menu with no zero beep but at the time I bought
it, it was the only HD-radio for the home around at a reasonable price. It
has way too much base even with the base turned down as much as possible.

Could someone tell me what is an hd radio? Is this a new type of satelite
receiver? Thanks.

: Hi Jim,
:
: I have the Boston Acoustics Receptor HD radio and I would not recommend it
: to anyone sighted or blind. You have to scroll through both memories and
: frequencies and the radio has way too much base even when the base is
turned
: down as much as it can be, but the HD modes, (digital modes) sound good
on
: both AM and FM! I'm hoping that a more accessible HD radio comes along
: soon!
