I agree with both Collin and Howard.  I will probably be on 2 meters for a while until I get the code and general.  That doesn't mean I won't try any other bands.  I guess it's like every job having a correct tool.  I was really fortunate when my dads neighbor gave me the hf rig and the 2 meter.  I'll probably get the handheld when funds permit it.
