not to mention, the all too obvious Off topic, or OT at the beginning of the
subject line, which assures all coming across the message in their inbox
that it is, indeed, off topic or not specifically related to the regular
list content.  off topic, but still generally of concern to those who
subscribe to the list.
if you don't want to read about jaws, then simply ignore those messages that
plainly let you know the message relates to jaws, within the subject line.
that applies to any subject that you don't feel like reading or
participating in.
However, be fair warnned that offen off topic subjects will come back around
to either amateur related topics or something to do with our hobby.
