I know how frustrating it is to rely on sighted help, but I'm not a very
adventuresome person.  I asked a sighted ham to help me turn on the voice
and program the dimmer button to act as the button to press for activating
the speech.

As for connecting the radio to your PC, you might be able to use a usb to
serial converter.
