Matt,

I have had the TH-K2AT for a couple of months, and I like it very much. It
does not have synthesized speech, but it does have direct keypad, frequency,
and memory channel input. After reading the manual on my Reading Edge, I
found it was no problem setting the p. l. tones by counting clicks on the
tuning knob. The instruction manual is quite well done, which can't be said
for many radios these days.

Sorry, I don't have any information on the TM271.

73,
Gale
