Tom,

Look for a "Function" button, probably on the bottom row at the very 
left end of the keyboard.  This button, when pressed in conjunction 
with other keys performs functions such as keys on the numeric 
keypad, etc.  You may need some sighted help to find it, but one of 
the keys will probably disable the mouse.  As far as I know, you 
cannot disable/enable the touchpad mouse from the control panel.
