Hi again, Colin.

I would sooner buy the TM3530 then the IC-38A.  The voice synthesizer for 
the '3530 is still readily available and so is the PL encoder.  You are 
right about the scarcity of those radios keeping the price up.  It's basic 
law of supply and demand.
