If you want an extremely accessible portable it's the Kenwood TH-F6A.  In
the world of the 220 mobile you should attempt to obtain a Kenwood TM35-30
and it's speech synthesizer.  They aren't made any more but you may be able
to find one used.  A currant production 220 rig is the Alinco.  I can't
comment regarding it's accessibility.  I have been on 220 since 1981 and
love the band.  Good luck.
